Watery Wednesday 4

Paddle boats were out in force on this chilly spring day for the Cherry Blossom Festival. Although the day was gray, no one seemed to mind as the blossoms were as beautiful as I have ever seen them. The river was serene and beautiful on this particular day. For more watery photos visit Watery Wednesday.

  4. At first glance I thought I was looking at snow covered trees. The enlargement is wonderful.

  7. What a lovely peaceful water shot with the cherry blossoms in the background. I have never seen cherry blossoms in person, hopefully someday.

  9. This is such a picture that talks to me. The surface of the river looks nearly like ice and it is such a contrast to the lovely cherry trees in the background. The paddlers look like some kind of skeedoos skidding on top of the ice. Quite an enchanting combination.

  10. I imagine that is one beautiful sight when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. Georgia has a cherry blossom festival in Macon but I've never been. Beautiful picture you posted!

  11. Paddle boats are fun, but slow. We always opt for the kayaks ... which are faster, but wetter.

  12. What a loevly photo! The way the blossoms are there, to be seen or not, as people carry on their lives. And the subdued colours of the rest of the photo, leaving only the blossoms and the boats to prvide colour!
    Thanks for sharing!
Now I have to go see the buttery photo!
